Drainage Basin
A drainage basin is all of the land that is drained by a river system. There are five drainage basins in North America. The water in each river then drains out to larger bodies of water, like an ocean. There are different drainage patterns for rivers/ Two main patterns are: 1) Dendritic - Looks like a tree 2) Trellis - Looks like a road system |
